This phone will certainly get the attention of the dedicated social butterflies, it is even safe to call it the “Facebook phone”. With a touch of a dedicated button you can quickly and easily upload your entries to your Facebook wall. But make no mistake, there’s more to this phone than what you may initially think. If you are a fan of HTC then you will definitely be familiar with the Sense skin that is layered over the top of Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread, the most up-to-date version of the Android OS.
Packing a 3.4 inch screen, the HTC Salsa is a mid-range Android phone packing a 800MHz CPU that is enough to handle most tasks. However, don’t expect to do any heavy multi-tasking on this phone but we guess it was never made to be used in that manner (hint: notice the Facebook button located a the bottom of the phone). Like most phones you will find in the market, the HTC Salsa comes with a 5-megapixel camera that is capable of recording standard-def videos.
Even if you don’t have a Facebook account or you find social media cumbersome, the HTC Salsa is still worth considering if you are in the market for a new phone. The friendly blue button can be easily ignored and in its place you will get a phone with a good screen, decent power and impressive battery life. What more can you ask for?
