Try to use a facial cleanser that is not harsh and can aggravate your skin and apply onto your face using a gentle, circular motion with your fingertips. Never scrub as this will make worse the acne. After that use warm water to moisten the face and apply the cleanser from the hairline to the neck area. Finally, rinse with water the area that you have applied the cleanser and use a soft towel to pat dry. Astringent would be best recommended for those that have oily skin, however make sure that it is alcohol free and it must be handled with care. Use only on the areas that you find to be the oiliest and if your skin becomes irritated then you must discontinue using it immediately. If you are seriously considering using the astringent for your oily face then it is best recommended that you consult with a dermatologist first to see if that is the best choice you.

The acne will start to flare up again as the skin becomes accustomed to the exposure from the sun. If you over expose your skin to the sun you may also run the risk of skin cancer and premature aging.
