Bar Council to use music to spread MyConstitution campaign

The Bar Council’s Myconstitution Campaign is set to continue where they have now turned to music as their universal language to create more awareness among the public in a more creative and innovative way. Hence, in moving towards this direction, they have will be embarking on a 12 hour music marathon to reach out to the young about their rights as enshrined in the Federal Constitution.

The event is entitled ‘Rock 4 Rights’ and is part of the BCCLC (Bar Council Constitution Law Committee) where it will be held in Georgetown’s Fort Cornwallis which will involve some 18 bands where there will be live music for 12 full hours starting from 12.00 in the afternoon. According to Syahredzan Johan, the chairman of BCCLC, the event was to kick-start the final phase of the campaign that started in 2009 which also included workshops and forums in many parts of the country. Apart from the professional bands, Nurul Izzah Anwar, the Lembah Pantai MP also belted a song on her guitar.
