The upcoming Bersih 2.0 rally is set to continue to hog the media limelight as the Malaysian Bar Council continues to promote the event which calls for fairer electrical process in Malaysia. In fact, the BCHRC or Bar Council Human Rights Committee said that they will be forming teams to be at the Bersih 2.0 rally this coming 9 July 2011. The teams would be there to monitor the rally and to ensure that there are no violations of human rights. If there are, then they will report as witnessed.
The BCHRC is currently inviting those interested to join the teams. Those who are invited are Members of the Bar as well as law students and BCHRC will be coming up with the strict rules and guidelines that the teams must follow. It is emphasized that the teams are there strictly to monitor the rally and hence, the members are strictly not allowed to participate in any way during the rally. The names of those selected to the teams will be submitted to the organizers as well as the police 3 days before the event so that they know who are involved and who are not.
